Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day, a celebration observed annually in many countries around the world, dedicated to honouring and expressing gratitude to the remarkable women who have played an integral role in our lives – our mothers.

It falls on the fourth Sunday of Lent in the UK  and Ireland. In 2024 it falls on Sunday 10th March.  Most other countries such as USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa celebrate it on the second Sunday of May, which falls on 12th May 2024.

Appreciation and celebration of the care, support and love that your mother gives you is the order of the day. Its a time for families to show their mothers, grandmothers, and maternal figures how much they are appreciated. Show your love through gestures, thoughtful gifts, spending time with them and other expressions of love.

The origins of Mother’s Day can be traced back to ancient civilizations. Its modern incarnation is attributed to a desire to recognize and celebrate the nurturing influence of mothers in our lives. Whether through a simple gesture, a loving card, a special outing or a gift of chocolate. Its a beautiful opportunity to express our gratitude with the gift of British chocolate.
